Login Password Selection Guidelines:
1. |
Please do not select your Login Password and Login ID based on your personal or company information that can be easily guessed by a third party. Personal or company information includes Customer ID, telephone number, or any permutations thereof, such as the last 6-8 digits of the Customer ID, first / last 6-8 digits of your date of birth, or first / last 6-8 digits of your telephone number. |

Please do not use consecutive ascending/descending letters or numbers or repeating numbers as your Login Password or Login ID , for example, 12345678, 87654321, 22222222, ABCDEFGH, HGFEDCBA. |

Login ID is 6 to 16 characters in length. Please ensure that your Login ID contains a combination of letters and numbers. |
4. |
Login Password should not be the same as Customer ID or Login ID. |
5. |
Change your Login Password on a frequent and random basis. Your new Login Password cannot be the same as any of your previous 3 Login Password(s). |
6. |
Please do not disclose your Login ID and Login Password to another person under any circumstances, including the branch staff and any act to obtain Login ID and Login Password via email, SMS, telephone and other means. |

Please do not write down your Login ID and Login Password without disguise. Keep them in a secure place not easily accessible by others. |

To avoid Login Password being guessed or compromised, please ensure that you do not use the same password for Internet Banking and for other web services. |

Although our encrypted system can enhance security, the best way to ensure the security of your personal finance is through following the security guidelines and be constantly vigilant about potential frauds. |

You can ensure the web site you are visiting is a site belonging to Bank of Taiwan (China) Internet Banking by reviewing this Server Certificate. |

Bank of Taiwan China branch will never ask client for sensitive personal information such as Login ID, Login Password and USB Key Password. |

The client should install firewall software on his/her personal computer. The client should also install anti-virus software and the software should be updated on a regular basis with the latest virus definition files. |

Please contact Bank of Taiwan China branch for help to reset lost or forgotten password. |

After applying for Internet Banking service, the client should obtain the letter containing the Login ID and Login Password from the Bank of Taiwan China branch in accordance with the agreed method. |

After using the Internet Banking service, the client should immediately log out of the Internet Banking and promptly remove the dedicated security device (such as USB Key) connected to the terminal device. |

Please check your transaction history regularly to keep track of your account status and verify your statement of account. |
